You cannot truly lend a hand. You must give it. The gesture cannot be returned. It must be reciprocated.
We cannot strictly observe the proscription to “be ourselves” and also persist in our humanness. We ape!
We must not hug ourselves too tightly, leaving free no appendage for reaching out to others.
Okay, here goes nothing:
Is there an afterlife? The question no longer matters. We have built an afterlife here on the web, and our ghosts haunt it even as we live.
It is now clear that a lot of people turn to twitter for inspiration and also for the opportunity to provide inspiration to others. So, who are the most inspiring people on twitter? This list is in no particular order, and the “inspiration” constained in someone’s twit stream need not be his or her own. It is just as sure a sign of wisdom to have the capacity to recognize brilliance in the words of others as it is to produce brilliant words on one’s own. <—That’s mine, by the way. Here we go:
- @platitude (trust me, you won’t regret this follow)
- @socrateslife (okay, a dog. But sometimes we must look to unconventional sources for conventional wisdom.)
…where I try to write and/or discover the best platitudes in all of social media!
Because the world is turning around us, and our lives are advancing every day.
Who are you?
I am just one man, who wants to make a difference in the world by reaching out to others and making the change in them that I wish to see in myself.
Can I contribute?
We must help one another or go helpless. Follow me @platitude and twit me your platitudes.
Do you hate platitudes?
No! Hate is a failing of curiosity which we must overcome to truly find new pleasure in the world.
